Late January, Nogales had their annual elective fair.

The event took place on Thursday, January 25, near ASB and the cafeteria, where hundreds of students came to look around at all of the elective choices.

Students were able to see what electives Nogales has to offer for the upcoming school year and were able to gain insight on the ones that intrigued them the most.

The classes ranged from auto to orchestra, leaving students with a wide selection of classes. An abundance of students came to the event during 4th period and lunch.

Sunny Aguirre, Junior, enjoyed the fair stating, “The fair was interesting. I didn’t even realize we had some of these classes. Now I’m pretty excited because I’m planning on taking one of those classes next year. I wish I would have known earlier but it is better late than never.”

Teachers and students were able to share information and promote their classes to give students more insight on their career pathways.

Andrew Truong, Senior, with the business career pathways answers questions with
one of the students who helped out during the fair. “The fair actually helps and people are able to get general information on the classes that they would not be able to get otherwise. Some people do not even know where to ask so this seemed like a good way to inform people what options they have.”

Those who attended were able to get stamps at each booth and enter a raffle at the end of the fair to get the chance to win a prize.

The elective fair was a success since so many students attended and were pleased with the information they received. Those participating, seemed to enjoy working at the booths, because they were able to help their fellow nobles decide which elective would help them for their career pathways.

Those who missed the fair do not have to worry. Teachers, students, and staff that are a part of these classes are more than happy to talk to those who have questions.
