Preparing for life after Nogales: Seniors get accepted

Delaida Rodriguez, Sophomore

The Nogales High School seniors are extremely close to finally ending their last school year and are now deciding which college they want to attend.

On April 26, 2018, the Nogales High School Gym will host the National College Signing Day. This event will be conducted during fourth period and students must have an acceptance letter or verification to attend.

During this time, students be knowledgeable for being accepted to a four year university.

Desiree Cervantes, junior, commented on reviving an Alexander Hamilton Scholarship, “I think it’s a great experience for seniors. The fact that I was able to get this opportunity as a Junior shows what hard work can do. Students are encouraged and shouldn’t worry about college costs as there are many opportunities.”

Cynthia Gutierrez, senior, expressed her thoughts on the importance of College Signing Day. She remarked, “To me, this is important, because it showed my doubters that I made it and helped me realize how negativity made me stronger.”
This is a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate how hard the seniors have worked for four years as they enter the next phase of their academic journey.
