Catchy pop singer, LIVVIA, just announced her new single, “Catch A Body,” featuring rap artist, Quavo.

On April 18, 2018, her song was released to the public.

LIVVIA’s inspiration for writing this song was inspired through improvisation. “I was in the studio with Rock Mafia, starting a new track and the phrase ‘catch a body’ happened to come up in one of the improv vocal takes, so we built on that idea and used phrases like “if looks could kill” and “you look so good it’s killing me” to play on the meaning of ‘Catch a Body’ and tell a story about uncontrollable and sometimes destructive attraction.”

The appearance of Quavo on LIVVIA’s single track was not planned, but it was a pleasant surprise to LIVVIA when she heard he wanted to be featured on her single.

Shocked by Quavo’s willingness to collaborate with her, LIVVIA stated,”The fact that Quavo was inspired to jump on this track was a dream,” She adds, “The first time I heard his feature through the speakers I thought, ‘This is amazing.’ He totally embodied the song.”

The beat of the song is genuinely very catchy and is sure to be stuck in the listeners’ minds even after they finish listening.

With Quavo’s appearance, adds a perfect amount of rap to this pop tune. This song holds an intriguing blend of pop and rap, but it is Quavo’s verses that are most memorable. Although this is her single, it sounds as if Quavo is the composer of the song.

On the other hand, the lyrics themselves are nothing special: “you look so good, it’s killing me”, which can be found in any other song. Yes, the song is catchy and upbeat, but without Quavo’s feature, there would be nothing to separate it from the rest of the generic pop-songs.

In addition, the lyrics are a bit repetitive and unless this song is a favorite, it can grow to be annoying to hear the same words over and over again.

On the other hand, the song is pretty ear-pleasing and is perfect for those who love pop and rap. It has a nice combination of both.

Be sure to check out LIVVIA’s newly released single to experience it for yourself.
