On September 20, Nogales High School hosted the Rowland Unified District College Fair.

A plethora of students from the district attended the college fair in the Nogales High School multi purpose room and even received extra credit for their classes as an incentive to attend.

A college fair is a gathering of college representatives from universities and colleges who are looking for the right students for their institutions.

Students were able to ask questions about their career pathways, financial aid, and requirements needed to enter their desired college.

During the college fair, a raffle was organized, it contained eight baskets full of college gear and school supplies. To be able to participate in the raffle, students had to get five stamps from different college booths.

Students learned plenty of information about college entrance requirements. Senior Isaac Varela, stated: “I learned about financial aid, majors for college, GPA, and SAT/ACT requirements. Also the college booths were informational and interesting. It helped me prepare for college.”

By attending the college fair, students gained vast information about their potential future universities.
