Next semester, high-achieving Nobles will be inaugurated into the National Honor Society (NHS).

At Nogales High School, many sophomores, juniors, and seniors are members of this prestigious society that requires a minimum of a 3.0 GPA, community service, and a positive disciplinary record.  However, to be an official member, students have to be inaugurated during an official ceremony. The inauguration is only necessary if you are a new member.

The inauguration ceremony at Nogales is an annual event crucial for Nobles who are striving to become better high school students. According to the NHS website, “It is more than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.”

The NHS cabinet, along with Dr. Zelnick, the advisor, are continuing to plan out the upcoming ceremony. The inauguration is a wonderful event where the students get a chance to pledge onto the society in front of their friends and parents,” explains Dr. Zelnick.

Nogales’ upcoming NHS inauguration ceremony will take place on February 8, 2019, at 6 P.M. in the Multi-Purpose Room.
