What President Biden has done in office so far

Our new President, Joe Biden, has already begun to undo most of former President Donald Trump’s doings, with COVID-19 being his top priority among other topics. One of the changes is that it will be mandatory to wear masks and social distance on all federal government property.

This is stricter than former President Donald Trump’s relaxed carefree approach to the pandemic.

President Biden has also planned to hire a COVID-19 response coordinator who will report updates straight and directly to the President.

Since his inauguration, President Biden had set the record for the number of bills passed in such a short amount of time. He has undone many of the bills former President Trump put in place, and is actively making the country safer and more dependable.

On his first day in office, President Biden issued an ¨Executive order on Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation. Hiraeth R. states, “He’s done a lot for everyone. I think it’s great what he’s doing for the youth, the LGBTQIA+ community and everyone in need.”

It is now under the regulation of the administration, ¨Every person should be treated with respect and dignity and should be able to live without fear, no matter who they are or whom they love,¨ announced President Joe Biden.

This line was the first step for healing after the four years of the Trump Administration towards the LGBTQIA+ communities. The executive order that Joe Biden signed outlines that gender identity and sexual orientation discrimination will be prohibited under law. This is a big landmark for people of the LGBTQIA+ community and other oppressed groups.
