Godzilla vs. Kong movie review

Although the movie itself has not been released, the trailer for the upcoming film, Godzilla vs. Kong has people filled with high expectations and many questions.

The King Kong franchise stems from the novelization of the 1933 film King Kong and has appeared in various media ever since. It mainly surrounds the events of an enormous 100-foot tall gorilla and the destruction he leaves in his path.

The Godzilla movies come from the popular movie, Godzilla, which was made in 2014; although, it isn’t the first movie in this franchise. Godzilla is an enormous and destructive sea monster who was awakened and empowered by nuclear radiation. With the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the Lucky Dragon 5 incident still fresh, Godzilla was conceived as a metaphor for nuclear weapons. Since then, Godzilla: King of the Monsters was released in 2019, and now Godzilla vs. Kong will be released by the end of March 2021.

Fantasy and mythology come together in Godzilla vs. Kong, as these two monstrous enemies  clash as the outcome of people is unknown.
