Post pandemic back to school updates

As the 2020-2021 school year starts coming to an end and covid cases are in decline, many schools are allowed to open back up— including our very own Nogales High School. After an entire year of not attending in-person school, students will have the chance to be back on campus next fall for the 2021-2022 school year.

The school administration has yet to come up with a solid plan as to how the next school year will take place. Whether students will go back to in-person school full time, the capacity in which students would be able to return and how the school will enforce social distancing is unknown.

Dr. Brumbaugh, the principal at Nogales, explained that no concrete decision has been made regarding the upcoming fall school year: “At this time, there are no plans for simultaneous learning in the fall; students will report to campus or virtual. Details are still being developed surrounding logistics.”

Although currently nothing is set in stone, administrators are working hard to create a school environment that will best benefit the students at Nogales High School.
