American rock band, Weezer, is set to release their fifteenth studio album, Van Weezer, on May 7th, 2021, by Crush Music and Atlantic Records. The band has released a metal-inspired song, “I Need Some of That,” from their album to give their fans a taste for what’s to come from this Van Halen influenced sound.

Van Weezer is Weezer’s first studio album to be produced by a female, Suzy Shinn. The band members were looking around for someone, mainly males, to produce their album. Having worked with Shinn in the past, lead guitarist Rivers Cuomo shared, “I like working with Suzy. Why can’t we go to this girl?” resulting in Shinn producing their latest album.

The Black Keys, an American rock duo, also set to release their tenth studio album, Delta Kream, after making their hungry fans wait for over a year. Unlike their previous works, Delta Kream is a new blues cover album.

This album will only feature cover songs from R.L. Burnside, Junior Kimbrough and Fred Mcdowell as a homage to those three artists for influencing Keys’ sound when they first started. As of now, Delta Kream will be released on May 14th, 2021 by Nonesuch Records.

After having an extremely successful year in 2015, Twenty One Pilots will release their fifth studio album, Scaled And Icy, on May 21st, 2021 by Fueled By Ramen. The band released a single from the album, “Shy Away,” which surprisingly has a pop sound to it, unlike their previous alternative rock-sounding albums.

Band members, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun, worked on this album together virtually as the pandemic sent each of them into their homes. They’re set to host their first virtual livestream concert to go hand in hand with their album release. The show will air on May 21st, at 8:00 p.m. ET with tickets being sold now.

Just a day after releasing her highly anticipated album, Chemtrails Over the Country Club, Lana Del Rey announced on Instagram that she will be releasing her next album on June 1st titled Rock Candy Sweet. Not much is known yet but her fans speculate that this will be the “digital record of American standards and classics” that Del Rey has been teasing for a while.

2021 is a busy year to come with multiple artists releasing new music in all genres.
