Next month, the upcoming Spider-Man sequel, Spider-Man: No Way Home, will hit theaters.
This third installment takes place after Peter Parker (Spider-Man) gets unmasked by Mysterio, his latest enemy. Unable to maintain his superhero and personal life, Peter seeks help from Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (MCU) Sorcerer Supreme: Dr. Strange. Peter pleads to Strange and asks him to cast a spell back to when no one knew his identity. However, things take a turn for the worse when it doesn’t go as planned and opens the world up to new dangers, introducing the MCU to the multiverse.
Senior, Rey Reynaldo, expressed his excitement towards the film: “I’m looking forward to seeing some of the old villains returning as well as seeing the relationship between MJ and Peter Parker grow.”
Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch (Dr. Strange) and Zendaya (MJ). It also features many actors from previous Spider-Man films, including Willem Dafoe, Jamie Foxx and JK Simmons. Antagonist, Dr. Octopus, played by Alfred Molina from the original Spider-Man franchise, will return as well.
There have been many rumors and theories pertaining to the soon to be released film, but the most exciting rumor is the return of the original cast from the former Spider-Man and Amazing Spider-Man franchises. One of the main theories consists of Spider-Man going into a different universe and coming across an alternate version of his world.
In regards to the rumors, Senior, Robin Bañuelos explained, “I’m excited to see how the multiverse and Peter Parker’s identity play into introducing old MCU characters into this new Spider-Man film. I can’t wait to see if the rumors are true about Tobey Maguire’s 2002 Spider-Man making a return along with Andrew Garfield’s Amazing Spider-Man.”
This film has been rated PG-13 and will begin screening nationwide on December 17.
